About the Role
You will focus on supporting the business in understanding sector specific macro and micro market dynamics as well as researching and commenting on market assumptions with respect to existing and new projects as well as new country entry. You should be able to assess, analyse and present information at all levels and to multiple stakeholders in a logical and structured way.
Role Responsibilities
- Researching macro and micro market assumptions and produce market analysis reports for briefing key stakeholders in the business. This will include gathering, preparing and analysing data
and producing reports and visualisations to facilitate understanding - Analysing data to update modelling assumptions, working with colleagues to ensure the incorporation of assumptions within project and corporate models is accurately reflected, assisting with the quality-assurance of models and ensuring that the impact of changes in assumptions is understood and communicated
- Support due diligence on new transactions, valuations and project screening
- Work with the development team to provide market assumptions to evaluate the economics of potential projects, and present to senior leadership
- Liase with external market analysts to ensure that the company has a good understanding of market views, opportunities and threats
- Provide periodic updates to the senior leadership team, investors and board
- Assist and support research on projects as required
Skills and Qualifications
- An understanding of micro and macro economics pertinent to the renewables market
and an ability to apply this understanding to real issues. - An ability to produce high quality economic and market analysis including selecting suitable data sources and methods of analysis as well as quality assuring outputs
- An ability to communicate the implications and limitations of analysis clearly and convincingly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders
- Good software skills including use of Excel, PowerPoint and Word with meticulous verbal and written presentation skills; Confident communicator to board and investors, simplifying complex data into visually clear diagrams and reports using Power BI / Tableux, PowerPoint
- Degree educated, with 10+ years in the UK renewables sector with relevant experience in modelling, financial forecasting and presentation
- Self-motivated with a high level of initiative and accountability
- Organized, diligent, and able to track and manage multiple streams of information on an ongoing basis
- Ability to multi-task and work in a deadline driven environment
- Working well in a team
