Role Responsibilities

  • Management of project technical risk relating to civil design and the mitigation of these risks where appropriate using internal team and consultants.
  • Procuring desk top site investigation materials.
  • Liaising with relevant technical stakeholders such as Highways Department
  • The creation of maps and plans in AutoCAD or MicroStation in accordance with Exagen’s CAD standards.
  • Creation and maintenance of template drawing library updated as per supplied product specifications.
  • Creation and amendment of maps and plans as required by Development Team members including: Option and Lease plans, Planning Application drawings (including annotated maps, GA drawings, sections and details)
  • Creation of site layouts in CAD, PVSyst or PVCase.

 

Skills and Qualifications

  • Qualified Civil Engineer or similar
  • Experience of managing risk and creating records to track risk
  • Experienced CAD user from the built environment or energy arenas.
  • Good map and geospatial appreciation, types, uses and how to interact with and use 3D data (topographical / DTM / DSM) and some understanding of GIS.
  • PVSyst use or similar an advantage but training can be given.
  • Understanding of CAD standards and their application.
  • Ability in 2D and 3D design in AutoCAD / AutoCAD Map 3D or MicroStation.
  • Good technical skills ability to interpret map information and understand the fundamentals of energy projects.
  • Good professional communication and presentation skills.
  • A passion for renewable energy, with the ability to multi-task and manage effectively and
  • accurately in a deadline- driven, challenging environment.
